Filtered Permeability comes to Liverpool

Sefton Council to be precise, check it out!

Filtered

The road to the right is a residential street, there's no motor access onto this main road, but there are bi-directional cycle paths with their own traffic signals!

Remarkable and great to use, particularly as it runs parallel to two very busy roads so is a much nicer option for cycling. Due to this filtered permeability the only traffic on the residential road is people who live there, so not only is the traffic reduced it is limited to people who actually have to live on the streets and hopefully drive a little slower because of this.
